Artwork inspired by Jennifer’s spirit and legacy
Catch kindness around Albuquerque through the beautiful, encouraging artwork inspired by Jennifer’s spirit and legacy. Each of these pieces were created by ABQ-based artist Paz Ehecatl. Be sure to make your way to each unique landmark in the Kindness Capital of the World.
“In the Garden of Sharing”
Created by PAZ (Paz Ehecatl) and Working Classroom, this mural is a tribute dedicated to the memory of Jennifer Riordan. The artwork spans the length of the Albuquerque Community Foundation building and can be seen from Tijeras Ave. The vibrant colors and imagery of flora and fauna are representative of how to live one’s life. Jennifer Riordan’s core values were to be kind, loving, caring and sharing which are reflected throughout the mural.
The Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Sports Complex
In 2019, City councilors passed a resolution to name the former Albuquerque Regional Sports Complex after Jennifer Riordan. Now called the Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Sports Complex, the facility honors Jenn’s compassionate spirit. At the entrance, you’ll find a giant 12-foot, 2,300 lb. Sparkie welcomes athletes and spectators.
